Welcome to The Someones Webpage.
We are a fantastic high energised experienced and professional four piece band who are committed to making every show one to remember.
Whatever the event, you can count on them to provide a performance which includes something for everyone. Whether you love Kings of Leon and The Killers or you’re more of a Beatles and Stones lover, then The Someones will provide a great night for you.
The band was formed in 2002 in the most easterly point of the United Kingdom, sunny Lowestoft.
The band were brought together by 3 close friends whose passion for playing, listening and watching live music drew them to the fact they wanted to be part of the live entertainment scene within the music industry.
With influences such as The Beatles, Rolling Stones, T-Rex, The Who, The Jam, Oasis, Blur, The Cult, The Kinks, Snow Patrol, Coldplay, The Kings Of Leon & The Artic Monkeys and the band priding themselves on getting a sound from within which was that indie/rock feel going into every song from every era.
The band hit the studio in the summer of 2004 and started rehearsing hard to put together a set list of quality and music to cater for everyone. It was boxing day of 2004 when The Someones finally reached the public eye and played their first official gig in the Corton Hut to a crowd of over 200 people and as they say the rest over the last 12 years is history. With the band now into 2015 and playing over 1000 gigs all over the UK for weddings, parties, birthdays and many pubs including crowds of 3000 people at local festivals. Supporting the great 70’s band Showaddywaddy, gracing the turf with the likes of the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Robbie Williams and Oasis at the famous Knebworth House venue. The band are still going strong and entertaining every show like it was the first and would be their last.
The Someones are recognised by their trademark red ties and their smart attire. Many photos over the last decade show many people joining in the theme at gigs with the red ties round their necks all for good fun.
The band also pride themselves in taking part in many charitable events within the community and UK, with Cancer research and Macmillan being close to the bands hearts, the guys have been part of many teams raising thousands of pounds over the years.
So into 2017 and another exciting year ahead for the boys, with another date in the studio booked to record some more tracks, photo shoots and the release of the bands new promotion video, it’s exciting times ahead for everyone.
Meet The Band
The Someones started for this man in 2004. Karl is the lead singer and the only founder member left in the band. Karl started off in music at the age of 10 as a drummer and his passion for the hobby escalated over the years. It wasn’t until 2002 Karl decided his passion was meant to be as a lead singer and he left his current band to join local outfit The Woo Woos and lead them in the indie style music. In 2004 when the band split up Karl & Rich decided to form a new group called The Someones and 13 years on he’s still there. As the lead singer, Karl explains "the best part about being in this band is getting the chance to do something I feel I love. I feel extremely fortunate to be given this wonderful opportunity to play with such a great group of friends, and it just keeps getting better. Playing the music we love in the places we do for all those great occasions."
Tony is the newest member of the band and joins with a wealth of experience behind him on lead guitar. Tony has been in covers band and many originals too and has a fantastic voice to add another element to the band. Tony comments "its a pleasure to join the band and I cant wait to get started". Other might recognise ton from being stunt double in films like teen wolf and also lord of the rings......Welcome on board Tony.
The beat & soul of the band. Jesh joined The Someones 7 years ago and has brought his youth and enthusiasm into the group along with his wealth of experience after he started drumming at the age of 11. Jesh has been in many cover bands but also wrote his own music for his originals band in 2005. Jesh came about the band when working as a bar manager in a establishment when the boys played and stepped in on occasion to help The Someones out and as they say the rest is history as he slotted in like a hand in a glove and become a ‘Someone’.
Tom joined the Band in early 2015 . A fantastically talented musician who can play guitar, bass, drums, piano, triangle and tambourine, this young lad has it all with even a range of vocals thrown in. At a young age Tom already has a wealth of experience playing in many bands throughout the area and also been signed to a local record label at the age of 19. A great addition to the band.
